The Journalism Club produces the Lancer Post, a newspaper for Eastern Wyoming College students. The purpose of the Lancer Post is to inform, entertain, and provide a forum for all students in the form of letters to the editor and guest editorials. Students who wish may also express their creativity in the form of poetry. The newspaper keeps students informed about what is happening on campus by covering the following areas: club news; Student Senate decisions; dances, music/entertainment; sports; features about personalities; workshops; financial aid news; health issues; and any other news that affects students. Students may also write columns on topics of their choice. Club members also produce taped interviews with students and/or college personnel for the local cable station to keep the local community abreast of college news.
