Grant Writing & Activities
The grant writer assists the college in finding and writing grants to fund programs as well as purchase supplies, equipment and other needs. Anyone who has ideas for projects, or who has a need to help fund projects not included in the college budget is encouraged to submit requests to the grant writing office.
The grant writer submitted a number of grants during fall semester, 2008, and continues to research and write grants resulting from requests from EWC administration, faculty and professional staff. Grants submitted which have been funded include a Wyoming Humanities Council grant for the Afghan Women's Project currently on display in the EWC Fine Arts Center; the non-traditional student grant (for gender-based non-traditional programs) which is in place and assisting several students with expenses; and the Adelanté Ninõs college readiness program for Goshen County School District fifth graders set for May 13.
