Closed
The Fitness Center is closed on college closure days and the weekend after fall and spring semesters end. Closure may occur without notification.

 

Mission

The Eastern Wyoming Fitness Center is designed to promote healthy lifestyles for our clients and to assist them in attaining and maintaining their individual fitness goals. An individualized fitness program is developed for each individual by ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certified personnel. Progress toward individual goals is monitored and charted periodically.

Senior Citizen's Programming

Programming is available to all persons age 60 or older at reduced rates. The program includes a special Senior Aerobic Circuit with emphasis on maintaining range of motion and muscular endurance as we grow older. Our goal is to assist you in your being physically able to continue doing the things you enjoy. The Senior Program is available September through May, Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Memberships

A variety of memberships and rates are available. They range from an Individual Four Month Membership to an Annual Family Membership. Annual memberships include access to the Fitness Center and the Racquetball Courts. Memberships may allow you to earn college credit while you play!

Memberships are available to all persons over the age of fourteen. Children under the age of fifteen may use the Center when included on an Annual Family Membership and must be supervised by the parent and/or legal guardian.

Registration is simple and no prior experience in fitness training is required. Memberships include an orientation to the Center, fitness assessment, and instruction on the proper use of the equipment. Re-evaluations are done on a periodic basis to monitor and report individual progress.

Racquetball Courts and Memberships

The Eastern Wyoming Fitness Center has two regulation racquetball courts. They are located on the north end of the Activity Center. Individuals or families having current Annual Memberships to the Fitness Center are allowed unlimited use of the courts. In addition such persons may make "same day - next day" reservations for the courts by calling the Fitness Center Desk at 532-8243.

NOTE: This fee does not include use of the Fitness Center. Persons below the age of 15 may use the courts only if they are included in an Annual Family Membership to the Fitness Center and only under Direct Parental/Legal Guardian Supervision.

Persons having a 4-month membership to the Fitness Center are not allowed usage of the Courts without an additional fee.

Free Weight Orientation

Any person completing the general Fitness Center Orientaion must attend a "free weight orientation" if s/he desires to utilize the free weights in the Center.

Persons desiring the orientation are aked to leave their name and phone number at the Fitness Center desk. Orientations are schedules on an "as needed" basis and are posted on the information screen on the computers. Orientation session are held in the Fitness Center between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm, and include a short DVD and individual assistance with lifts an individual wishes to perform.

For those completing the free weight orientation, ther Fitness Center ID cards will be punched to indicate completion and the will be given a wrist band to wear during their workout. No free weight work is allowed wihtout an ID card.
