Steps to Obtain a Work-Study Position
Please Note: Eligibility for student employment at EWC requires that you be accepted and registered as a degree-seeking student at Eastern Wyoming College and meet satisfactory academic progress eligibility requirements as established in the EWC Satisfactory Academic Progress Policies for Financial Aid.

1. Get Informed

2. Choose a position
- Visit the Position Listings web page
- Browse the positions available
- Click the Department for a position to read the job description
- An "Apply Now" button is available in each job description for you to apply online
Please Note: To provide as many employment opportunities to students as possible, students are authorized only one position until after the second week of classes, at which time qualified students may apply for multiple positions.
3. Complete the Student Employment Online Application
- Applications are done through a secure online process
- Applications are specific to each job listing
- Be sure to include all information requested
- The supervisor and Financial Aid Clerk will receive a copy of your application by e-mail once you submit the application

4. Wait for notification
- A Financial Aid clerk will notify you and the job supervisor via email of your eligibility for student employment
5. Interview with supervisor
- The job supervisor will contact you to set up an interview
- Be prepared
6. Complete required employment forms if hired

7. Process your Work Authorization
- Pick up a Work Authorization Form from the Financial Aid Office
- Complete the Work Authorization Form and get your supervisor's signature
8. Finalize your employment
- Return all completed forms to the Financial Aid Office
- Bring proof of identity and proof of employment eligibility (driver's license and social security card/passport/birth certificate)
- You can not start work until the Financial Aid Office has received the above completed forms
