EWC Rodeo Results

(Torrington, WY, October 1, 2002) Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo has completed two of the four fall rodeos with moderate success. Coach Jake Clark said, Our women dominated the Barrel Racing which really helped their overall standing. Tara Thompson placed 2nd in her first and short go in Barrel Racing to average 1st, with Ginger Edwards falling right behind her in 2nd place. Jerod Farella (EWC) and Chase Gauger (Sheridan College) placed a solid 1st in Team Roping while Zane Marty (EWC) and Troy Hermelbracht (EWC) averaged a 2nd place finish. Clark also noted, It didn't take long for Bobby Welsh to break the ice at his second college rodeo. He did that by making a flawless short round [bull] ride to win the average.
The Rodeo team travels to Mesa State October 11-13 and finishes the fall season at LCCC in Cheyenne on October 18-20. Hopefully we can round out the rest of the team and finish the fall strong, states Clark. For more information on rodeo contact Clark at 532-8337.
