Former EWC Grad Earns Scholarship
December 4, 2002
(Torrington, WY) Former Eastern Wyoming College graduate, Tanya Bales, has earned a grant from the National Western Scholarship Trust. Bales joins thirty other students enrolled in the 2002-03 term at a Colorado or Wyoming college to be awarded grant money. Except for medical and graduate studies, all applicants must have participated in the National Western Stock Show during the January show through exhibiting, judging, volunteering, Westernaires, a sanctioned FFA or 4-H project or competing in an event for which preparation and training are required.
Bales graduated from EWC in the spring of 2002 with an Associate of Science in Ag Business and transferred to the University of Wyoming. While at Eastern Wyoming College, Bales was active in Phi Theta Kappa and Ag Club. Tim Walter, EWC Agri-Business Department, recalls, ?Tanya was an excellent student with a great personality. She will be an over-achiever in education and in life.
