EWC Holds Conference for Outreach Coordinators

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College hosted an Outreach Coordinator's Meeting on its Torrington campus October 22-24, 2003. Some of the agenda items included updates from the Financial Aid and Marketing and Public Relations Offices, VA benefits & COMPASS questions, Workforce Development & Technology Day, Instructional news, Business Office, Payroll, & Bookstore, and ABE/GED news. Also discussed were Coordinators' Handbook revisions, Lancer Net & Distance Learning, and Workforce Development goals and ideas.
Eastern Wyoming College's service area covers 16,000 square miles and the six counties of Goshen, Niobrara, Platte, Converse, Crook, and Weston. Outreach enrollment accounts for about one-third of EWC's total enrollment. The outreach program is coordinated by Associate Dean of Instruction, Dee Ludwig, who said, "We always enjoy hosting the coordinators on campus because of the networking opportunities. They enjoy visiting with each other and the faculty and staff on campus."
Coordinators attending the two day event were Connie Woehl, Douglas; Sandy Engling, Glendo; Chris Webb, Glenrock; Cheryl Deuel, Guernsey; Laura Lynn, Hulett; Eva Titchener, Lusk; Margaret Hall, Moorcroft; Kim Conzelman, Newcastle; Carol Jones, Sundance; Liz Barritt, Upton; and Sue Trautwein, Wheatland. The spring Coordinators' meeting will be held in Sundance in April 2004.
