(Torrington, WY) Interested students, parents, and family members are invited to attend Eastern Wyoming College's annual Visitation Day, Monday, February 16th, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the EWC Fine Arts Center with the first General Session beginning at 9:00 a.m.
"Visitation Day offers a first-hand look at EWC for students, parents, and counselors," states coordinator Anne Gardetto. Visiting students, parents, and family members will have an opportunity to tour the campus instructional and student services facilities, including housing accommodations; attend in-classroom lectures; receive information about academic transfer and technical programs; receive financial aid information; become familiar with the various clubs and organizations; and try out for scholarships, including music and activity grants (basketball, cheerleading, golf, rodeo, and volleyball). Special sessions for students and parents including "Intro to College: What You Need to Know;" "Accessing Financial Aid for Higher Education;" "Pre-professional opportunities at EWC;" and "Pre-Academic Advising Opportunities;" will be among programs/services provided during the course of the day's events.
The Honorable Keith Kautz, Eighth Judicial District Judge, will serve as keynote speaker and will be featured at EWC's Visitation Day first General Session. Free lunch and entertainment will also be provided.
