All Aboard for EWC's New Student Orientation

New student orientation at EWC will begin at 8:00 Monday, August 30th. Orientation is
designed for incoming freshman and is an opportunity to get to know the school, attend
informational classes, and meet with advisors. The day begins with a welcoming event in
the Fine Arts building and then students have the opportunity to break into smaller groups
and attend informational sessions. These sessions address topic such as: Paying for
College, A balanced lifestyle and college survival, classroom expectations, and risky
business. At noon students have a chance to meet with their advisor for a casual lunch.
At 1:00 placement testing in the Tebbet Room begins and from 4:00 to 5:00 there will be
a mandatory house meeting in the Fine Arts Auditorium. To top off the day, local food
vendors will showcase what they have to offer to students during the "Taste of
Torrington" event.
