EWC Initiates Ten Students into Phi Theta Kappa

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce that ten students were initiated into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at noon on November 5, 2004, in the Dolores Kaufman Board Room. Students initiated into the Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter of PTK include: Tim Anderson, Welding, Linda Carlson, Business Administration, and Jessica Voltmer, Pre-Nursing, all from Torrington, WY. Deon Ostrander majoring in Pre-Nursing and is from Lingle, WY. Adam Jones from Saratoga, WY, is majoring in Music. Richard Holden, Criminal Justice and Lindsay Milligan, Interdisciplinary Studies and both are from Douglas, WY. John Savery from Custer, SD, is majoring in Veterinary Technology. Roxanne Steben from Yoder, WY, is majoring in Elementary Education and Jamie Vickers from Newcastle, WY, is majoring in Business Administration.
Master of Ceremonies was member Drew Murphy, who conducted the welcome and introduction. Keynote speaker was Tom John McCreery of Pinnacle Bank. Chapter advisors Nicholas Roster and Jeff Bruening looked on as officers Aylin Carey and James Marquez participated with Murphy in the induction ritual of the new members.
Phi Theta Kappa's mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs.
