Verl Petsch, Eastern Wyoming Volleyball Coach, Receives RecognitionTORRINGTON, WY - Verl Petsch, Eastern Wyoming College Volleyball Coach, was recently honored with a plaque for recognition of his contributions and dedication to the Region IX Women's Athletics.

Petsch has been the Women 's Regional Director of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) from 1993 until August of 2005. The women's division consists of 4 regions including Eastern Colorado, Eastern Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming Schools.

Petsch represented Region 9 out of 24.

The Women's Division of the NJCAA provides programs which afford opportunities for the participation of all community colleges. Through the existing structure of the NJCAA, representatives of both the Men's and Women's Division work together to develop and maintain eligibility rules, which will be applied equally to all athletes, both male and female.

Petsch comments, It's a real honor to have served as director for 12 years representing these schools. I feel extremely honored for this recognition from my peers.

Dee Ludwig, Associate Dean of Instruction commented, for someone to hold a post like that for 12 years is truly remarkable and is one more indicator of how much Verl has given not only to Eastern Wyoming College but to the entire Region IX for many years.
