Visited Fort Laramie National Historic Site for a free look at the parks latest refurnishing project

Ocotober 4, 2006

Have you ever visited the Fort Laramie National Historic Site and been curious about how the National Park Service restores and refurnishes the historic structures?

Join park staff on the afternoon of Saturday, October 14th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm for a free "behind the scenes" look at the parks latest refurnishing project. This year the park will be updating the exhibits in the historic Post Traders Store to reflect what it might have looked like in the late 1850's and early 60s. Be one of the first visitors to see the new exhibit.

Hear Park Ranger Joe Reasoner discuss the history of the Post Sutlers/Traders Store at Fort Laramie and some of the many famous people who passed through its doors. Museum Specialist Baird Todd will conclude the program with a tour of the new exhibit and will lead a discussion on the refurnishing process.
