Holcomb Appointed as EWC Interim President

At a special board meeting held on Monday, March 31, the board adjourned from executive session and appointed Dr. Richard Holcomb as the Interim President of Eastern Wyoming College.
EWC Board of Trustees President, Sherri Lovercheck, added the following about the appointment, "The board appreciates Dr. Holcomb's willingness to take on additional responsibilities. As our Vice President of Learning, he has earned the respect of his colleagues and will be able to provide effective leadership during this transition."
"EWC has it all with an enthusiastic board, a great faculty and staff, dynamic curriculum, motivated students and a supportive service area. It is an honor to be chosen to serve as the interim president," added Holcomb.
The Board also approved beginning the presidential search immediately with a deadline for applications set at May 15, 2008. Sherri Lovercheck, Board President, will serve as the chair of the presidential search committee. The Board will approve the allocation of funds for the search at the April 8th board meeting.
