Lancer Rodeo Team Competes in CSU Rodeo

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Rodeo Team traveled to Ft Collins, CO this past weekend to compete in the second college rodeo of the spring semester. Sophomore Ty Kenner, Wood Lake, NE, placed third in the long-go and ended up second in the average in the Bareback Riding and first in the long-go and third in the average in the Saddle Bronc Riding. These placings put him in third place in the men’s all around. In the Bull Riding sophomore Lane Lindsay, Hot Springs, SD, won the long-go and placed second in the average.

In the Tie Down Roping, sophomore Kyle McLean, Miles City, MT, placed eighth in the long-go and finished fourth in the average.

Sophomore Kyle Stoddard, Norris, SD, also placed in the tie down roping with a sixth place finish in the long-go and ninth in the average. In the Steer Wrestling, sophomore Logan McDonald, Hemingford, NE, placed sixth in the long-go and eighth in the average.

In the Team Roping, Sophomore Jared Bilby, Bridgeport, NE, and his partner Brad Johnson of Gillette College won the long-go and placed fifth in the average. In the Barrel Racing, sophomore, Bailey Lord, Hornick, IA, won the long-go and placed fifth in the average. She also placed eighth in the long- go in the Goat Tying. Also placing in the Goat Tying was sophomore Chyann Howard, Laramie, WY, who placed seventh in the long-go and sixth in the average.

The Lancer Rodeo Team will next travel to Crawford, Nebraska for the Chadron State College Rodeo.
