EWC to Offer Hunter's Safety Class

TORRINGTON, WY -

Eastern Wyoming College will be offering Hunter's Safety. Classes will be held August 5, 7, 11, 13, 15 and 16, from 6 -9 p.m. in the Community Training Center. The class will cost $15 and be taught by Adam Hymas.

This course will lead to the Wyoming Hunter Safety Certification, which is required for all hunters born after 1966, or for those planning to hunt in certain areas of Wyoming. Students will learn Wyoming game laws, game identification, hunting ethics and conservation, outdoor survival skills, basic first aid, game care, and weapons safety/handling.

This class will consist of 12-15 hours of classroom instruction. There is no age limit, but ten years and older is recommended. Scholarships for tuition are provided by the Goshen County 2-Shot Goose Hunt Committee for the first 25 students to register ages 8-18. Materials will be provided.
