Eastern Wyoming College Initiates Students into Phi Theta Kappa

TORRINGTON, WY -

Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce that seven students were initiated into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on October 30th, 2008. Students initiated into the Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter of PTK include: Julie Abernathy (Torrington, WY), Tandy Bauer (Torrington, WY), Adriana DeLeon (Torrington, WY), Duane Lee (Torrington, WY), Carrie Kurtz (Torrington, WY), Shaina Starr (Torrington, WY), and Winston Harris (Brush, CO).

The Master of Ceremonies was Alex Schaneman who conducted the welcome and introduction. The Keynote Speaker was Wayne Deahl, Division Chair at Eastern Wyoming College. Chapter co-advisors are Anne and Chris Hilton.

Phi Theta Kappa's mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs.
