Eastern Wyoming College Initiates Students into Phi Theta Kappa

Spring 2009 inductees included back row, left to right, Gabe Maas, Ryan Yung, Constance Kittell, Susie Schaefer, and Tyler KampEastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce that eleven students were initiated into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on February 26, 2009. Students initiated into the Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter of PTK include: Lynsey Ayers, (Brighton, CO), Timothy S. Bloodgood (Torrington, WY) Elementary Education, Laura Gill (Torrington, WY) Nursing, Tara Harris (Torrington, WY) Nursing, Tyler Kamp (Pinedale, WY) Welding and Joining Technology, Connie Kittell (Wheatland, WY) Nursing, Gabrielle Maas (Cheyenne, WY) Cosmetology, Susie Schaefer (Torrington, WY) Business Administration, Matt Templar (Torrington, WY) Criminal Justice, Erin Yeik (Sidney, NE) Elementary Education, Ryan Yung, (Torrington, WY) Business Administration.

Master of Ceremonies Alex Schaneman conducted the welcome and introductions. The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Rex Cogdill, Dean for Student Services. Chapter advisors Anne Hilton and Chris Hilton looked on as officers Alex Schaneman-President, Sara Foster-Vice-President, and Stephanie Smith-Secretary, delivered the induction ritual to new members.

Phi Theta Kappa’s mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs.
