EWC Volleyball Team Wins Sportsmanship Award

TORRINGTON, WY -

Several members of the EWC Lady Lancer Volleyball team are shown holding the 2008 Sheila R. Worley Sportsmanship award. Worley Sportsmanship award. This award is presented to the volleyball team that displays the best overall sportsmanship during the annual Region IX tournament. An independent committee and tournament officials make the selection.

The award is named in honor of retired long time Regional Director and past NJCAA Women’s Secretary-Treasurer Sheila Worley from Northeastern Junior College, Sterling, Colorado.

The team also recently learned that they were recognized in the top fifty of the academic teams of the year with a team grade point average of 3.08.
