EWC Lady Lancer Signs with OPSU

TORRINGTON, WY -

EWC sophomore Josey Peterson signs a national letter of intent to play volleyball at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma.Josey Peterson, a sophomore at Eastern Wyoming College, Torrington, Wyoming has signed a National NCAA letter of intent and accepted a volleyball scholarship to attend Oklahoma Panhandle State University at Goodwell, Oklahoma.

Peterson is a 5'2" Libero/Defensive specialist. She played every match for the Lady Lancer volleyball team the past 2 seasons. Josey was voted to the NJCAA All-Regional and Second Team All-Conference teams for her play during her sophomore season. Playing in all 48 matches this past season posting a team high 595 defensive digs which ranked her 9th in the region and 46th in the National NJCAA top 50 list with 3.73 digs per set. She received a team high 1325 serves for 90% accuracy rate. Peterson ranks 4th on the all-time EWC career list for defensive digs with 1177 for average of 3.82 digs per game.

Josey will major in Physical Education at OPSU. She is the daughter of Patti Sue and Fred Peterson of Torrington, Wyoming.
