Art Department: Program Description
The Eastern Wyoming College Art Department offers a wide variety of courses of study in the visual arts, providing experiences and credit applicable to both professional aspirations and personal enrichment.
The Art Department is housed in the spacious Fine Arts wing with a large, well lit studio suited and equipped for a variety of art practice including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, and sculpture, as well as a fully digital projection system. We also partner with the Welding Department, offering instruction in welded steel sculpture.
EWC has vibrant Art Club sponsoring activities each semester such as trips to the Denver Art Museum, Denver gallery tours, as well as Interdisciplinary Fine Arts projects.
The foundation experience that you will acquire at EWC will serve as a strong basis for a variety of careers in Art including Commercial Design and Illustration, Fine Arts, Design for the Performing Arts, Education, Administration, and Art Therapy.
