Music Department: Program Description
The Eastern Wyoming College Music Department offers students the opportunity to study music within a small, highly personalized academic environment. EWC provides a full range of courses that comply with the Associate of Arts in Music degree requirements. The two degrees available to students are Associate of Arts in Music Education and the Associate of Arts in Music (Applied). Both of these degrees are transferable to most universities for completion of the Bachelor’s of Music degree. The Associate of Arts in Music also fulfills the requirements for a music minor emphasis at the university level.
Of special interest to students is the opportunity to perform in several outstanding community-based ensembles, including the EWC Master Chorus and EWC Band. Goshen Community Theater also offers students an integrative musical experience by performing several shows annually in the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium and contributing to the overall artistic atmosphere.
