Awarding Process
The Financial Aid Office will review the Electronic Student Aid Report (SAR) which the Financial Aid Office receives directly from the federal processor. They will follow federal regulations in determining eligibility and awarding federal grants. Students will be advised in writing as to their eligibility for federal grants, federal work study, and federal loans.
The Eastern Wyoming College Scholarship Committee will determine scholarship awards. Only if you are selected will you be notified.
Division Scholarships and Activity Grants will be awarded by division chairs and activity sponsors. Again, you will only be notified if you are selected.
Funds Disbursement
One-half of federal aid awards will be credited to the student's account once the Student Aid Report has been processed and finalized. If a scholarship is awarded, one-half of the scholarship will also be credited to the student's account. If a financial aid recipient maintains satisfactory progress, the second half of the award(s) will be credited to the student's account for the spring semester.
