WACCT 2013 Leadership Awards & Legislative Reception

Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington has partnered with the Wyoming Association of Community College Trustees (WACCT) to co-host the 2013 Leadership Awards and Legislative Reception on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Little America in Cheyenne.

For several years, the WACCT, composed of locally-elected trustees from the seven community colleges, has collaborated with the rotating host college to present Leadership Awards to honored students, faculty, staff, trustees and foundation volunteers. We’re immensely proud of our colleges and the dedicated people associated with them. The many impressive contributions of our 2013 WACCT Award nominees are highlighted during a recognition ceremony at which Leadership Awards are presented.

The annual Legislative Reception is an opportunity to express our thanks to Wyoming Legislators for their dedication to Wyoming citizens and for their strong commitment to community colleges over many years. We encourage their continued support for the colleges’ legislative priorities during the 2013 Session.

This annual event brings together community college folk from all institutions—seven individual districts that vigorously and successfully serve residents of all 23 counties in this great state and educate more than 26,000 credit students each year.

Completion rates continue to resonate locally and nationally. The colleges continue to work diligently to help our students meet their educational goals, complete, and move on to the next phase in their lives whether that be transferring to another college or university, or obtaining that perfect job. The seven colleges are the Keys to Completion.
