EWC finishes 2nd at NJC tournament
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer golf team competed in Sterling, CO September 16-17 at a tournament hosted by Northeastern Junior College. The Lancers finished the tournament in 2nd place with a score of 581. McCook Community College won the tournament with a score of 574.
“We played a tough course that these players haven’t seen before,” said Coach Zach Smith. “The region is very exciting this year with lots of tough competition. I’m really proud of how our team is playing. This competition will only make them all better.”
Leading the Lancers was sophomore Brendan Thomas, Farmington, UT. He shot 69, 74 – 143 to finish tied for 4th place. Other Lancer scores were as follows:
