Eastern Wyoming College has an atmosphere that is perfect for the Freshmen music student. With small class sizes and a top-notch faculty incoming students can be assured that they will get the individual attention necessary to master the fundamentals of collegiate study in music. Whether students choose to pursue an Associate of Arts in Music Education or an Associate of Arts in Music (Applied)they can know that they will be well prepared for transfer to a four-year institution.
The Fine Arts facilities at Eastern Wyoming College are fantastically suited for study in music. With a large multi-use rehearsal room, three sound-proof practice facilities, a new digital music workstation, and a 713 seat auditorium students have plenty of room to sing, play, and grow in their musical ability.
Students in performing ensembles are given multiple performance opportunities for both public and private events. Past students have performed for the Goshen County Rotary Club, the Torrington Main Street Partnership, and the Goshen Community Theater group.
Regular and public performance opportunities include a Fall concert, Christmas Concert, Spring talent show, and a Spring concert. Students are greatly encouraged to audition for the Goshen Community Theater Spring musicals in addition to their regular ensembles. This performance opportunity gives students the ability to work alongside community members who are lifelong performers and supporters of the arts, and provides an experience like no other for students pursuing a degree in education or performance.
The small class sizes, multiple performance opportunities, and fantastic faculty provide music students with a learning environment like no other in Wyoming. Apply today for your chance to take the stage and shine at EWC!
