9:00 am to 9:30 am    Registration in the Gym (donuts, coffee & juice)
9:45 am to 10:45 am   Session One

Session Information:

Session One (9:45 am to 10:45 am)

Art – 10 studentsDigital Photography. Experiment with digital cameras, controlling shutter speed and aperture size, to shoot creative and out-of-the ordinary photographs. Full

Agriculture: Agronomy and Soil – 30 Students – Goshen County is home to many different soil types.  Students will have the opportunity to test a few of soil samples for macronutrients, organic matter, and pH to determine if the soils contain sufficient nutrients for crops to thrive.

Apps for Agriculture – 30 Students
Come learn and explore the exciting and useful apps that are geared towards anyone involved in agriculture. Each student will have the opportunity to work on an iPad and discover the benefits of these handy apps.

Business – 15 Students – Students will have the opportunity to explore the business industry through various career paths as well as receive some hands-on training in computer software programs. Full

Cosmetology- 30 Students – Students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience working with hair and nail standards and practices.

Criminal Justice- 15 Students – Explore the various pathways within the criminal justice field through the experience of active police officers for potential careers in law enforcement, corrections, federal agencies, and law. There will be various demonstrations of training materials and equipment as well as the opportunity to answer questions about the field from professionals. Full

Emerging Technologies and CNC Plasma Cutting (Welding) – 15 Students – Students will learn about emerging technologies in manufacturing and CNC Plasma cutting. Full

Machine Tooling- 15 Students – Students will learn about threading by hand and using a lathe. Full

Gas Metal Arc Welding – 15 Students This session will explore GMAW in the vertical up and down position as well as topics in Aluminum GMAW and FCAW.

Shielded Metal Arc Welding – 15 StudentsStudents will be welding vertical down welds on sheet metal joints. Full

Veterinary Technology – 30 Students – Students interested in pursuing careers in veterinary technology and medicine will have the opportunity to work with vet tech students and staff. Workshop highlights CPR, laboratory analysis, and lab and exotic animal care.
