The Eastern Wyoming College Foundation will annually review and approve selection of an EWC Distinguished Alumni. The Foundation Nominating Committee will submit annually to the Foundation Board the names of up to three individuals recommended as potential recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Award Criteria:
Alumni (graduate) status is required for nomination or receipt of The Distinguished Alumni Award. Exemplary achievement in one’s profession, academic activities, and in community and civic service are primary considerations. It is expected the nominee will attribute his or her success is related, in some way, to his or her time at Eastern Wyoming College.

Previous awardees of the EWC Albert C. Conger Distinguished Service Award are eligible for this award, and awardees of the Distinguished Alumni Award are eligible for future consideration for the Albert C. Conger Distinguished Service Award if qualified and nominated by completing the Albert C. Conger Distinguished Service Award nomination process.

The award will be presented at the EWC spring graduation ceremonies. The award will include an invitation to speak briefly at the graduation ceremonies, a recognition plaque, and a photograph to be included with other awardees and displayed within the College. The EWC Office of College Relations will work with the Foundation to develop media coverage to include press releases, interviews, or other public information which may be appropriate.

The nomination process is open for nominations throughout the year, however nominations must be provided to the Office of Development by December 31 of each year for consideration and selection for presentation at the spring graduation ceremonies. The Office of Development will advertise the process in October of each year. The Foundation Nominating Committee will review nominations and present them to the Foundation for approval at its January meeting.

Recipients will be notified no later than the last week in February of each year in order to make any necessary travel arrangements.

Individuals may be nominated by any member of the EWC faculty, staff, board of trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, or the general public. To be considered for the EWC Distinguished Alumni Award, send a completed nomination form and resume or biography to the Office of Development. The mailing address for the completed nomination form and resume or biography is EWC Office of Development, 3200 West C Street, Torrington, WY 82240.

Individuals nominated but not selected during a given year will be considered for at least two additional years.
