EWC announces upcoming Acupressure class

Wednesday, September 16th, 2015

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington is offering an Acupressure class that will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 12:30-4:30 pm. The cost of this class is $45/individual and the deadline for registration is September 21.

Acupressure is an ancient healing art using the fingers to gradually press key healing points which stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities. In this class participants will be given a brief overview of the “body’s energy systems” and will learn specific gentle, non-invasive techniques to assist their bodies in gaining and maintaining balance. Some of the techniques will include a daily body balancing “maintenance” technique, a “centering” technique that is simple and can be used to alleviate stress and maintain one’s balance in stressful situations, a technique that is helpful in alleviating sinus pressure, and a technique to reduce back tension and promote deep relaxation. During practice of these techniques, participants will be on floor mats, so bring a pillow to provide support for your head and neck. Bring a friend, spouse or partner, get a discount

To register for this class contact the EWC Community Education office at 307.532.8323 by September 22.
