The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington is offering the following class.

HISTORY OF THE PROTESTANT REFORMATION AND CHRISTIANITY
Christianity comprises of two divisions:  East & West. The West is composed of both Roman Catholics and Protestants, and we have just passed the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation (1517-2017).

Nate Johnson, Pastor of Christ Reformed Presbyterian will instruct this class on what the Protestant Reformation protest were and will be focusing on the BELIEFS that motivated the PROTESTS, and how they sought to REFORM those beliefs.

We will take a look at FIVE QUESTIONS that go to the heart of the PROTESTS and the REFORMS:
What is our AUTHORITY? –Scripture alone or is there more?
What must we EARN? –Is grace enough?
Whom or what do we TRUST? –Is Christ sufficient?
How do we TRUST? –Faith alone or faith plus something?
What is the END GAME? –Is God’s Glory shared?

This class will be held on Tuesdays, January 23 through March 27 from 6:00-7:00pm. The cost of this class is $40 with scholarships available by contacting Nate Johnson at 720-314-9930.
