Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce the completion of the first barbering crossover class of 2017.

The new Barbering Technician certificate program includes 1000 hours of barbering course work as required by Wyoming law. It combines theory classes, practical work and hands-on clientele practice.  Completion of this program prepares the students for national testing in barbering technology. This is a barbering program with no chemicals.

The barbering crossover program required 100 hours of shaving and 50 hours of men’s haircutting. During the 150 hours there was classroom discussion and reviewed prior knowledge.

“We had a great group for our first barbering crossover students, it just confirmed this program will be an excellent addition to the EWC Cosmetology Program!” said instructor Amanda Lashley.

Students interested in the Barbering Technician program should contact Barbering Instructor Amanda Lashley at 307.532.8362.
