EWC Golfers continue season with tournament win

The Eastern Wyoming College golf team won the McCook, NE tournament by 3 strokes. The Lancers had a team score of 620.

Individual placing for the Lancers at this Division 1 event were as follows:

• Brandon Rideout, sophomore, Wamsutter, WY – placed 2^nd
• Josh Wilson, freshman, West Haven, UT – placed 3rd
• Aaron Nirider, freshman, Riverton, WY, placed 5^th
• Garrett Mortimer, sophomore, Casper, WY – placed 7^th

“Winning this tournament basically locks up a Region IX championship and a national tournament berth! We still hope to continue improving and compete hard in the last 2 tournaments. The individual Region IX placing and the individual championship are still up for grabs… The students have a ton of confidence now and are very excited to represent EWC moving forward,” said golf coach Casey Jones.

EWC will host their tournament in Torrington April 16 & 17 and will travel to Trinidad Junior College April 24.
