EWC Highlights Upcoming Classes

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington is now accepting enrollments for the following class.

Gabi’s Romanian Holiday will be held Monday and Wednesday February 24 & 26 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Join Gabriela Banville as she shares the legends, the history and the dances of two holidays celebrated in her native country of Romania:

DRAGOBETE—celebrated on February 24, when nature wakes up from her sleep, birds look for places to build their nests, and people follow nature’s course—a holiday of love similar to Valentines’ Day—a PERFECT activity for any couple in love or just in “like”.

MARTISOR—a holiday of hope, optimism, and faith in a better future, the beginning of spring celebrated on March 1. Shake off those winter blues and celebrate the coming of spring with Gabi. Rumor has it there will be delightful Romanian desserts to end each evening. You can attend one or both of the Romanian Holiday sessions. The cost for this class is $10 for one session or $15 for both classes.
