Pysanky—Ukrainian Style Egg Decorating for Beginners class.
You’ve seen these beautifully decorated Eastern European style Easter eggs and thought “WOW!”, then immediately, “I could never do that!” Although this egg-straordinary craft appears difficult, it is not! You don’t need special artistic talent. Oh, and guess what! Ukrainian eggs are not painted—they are created using a wax-resist & dye technique. If you can hold a pencil, you can decorate an egg. You know, these eggs are not just for Easter, they make great and unique holiday ornaments that are often left on display all year, as well as special occasion, personalized gifts. To make this craft even easier, your class fee includes a starter kit with the tools, dyes, and patterns. There are a few household items you will need to bring to class, get the list when you register. Join instructor Roxanne Baker and turn ordinary eggs into amazingly beautiful works of art. This class will be held Tuesday/Thursday, November 4 – 20 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm in the EWC Community Training Center and will cost $65.
