EWC highlights upcoming Wood Working for the Holidays class

Friday, September 7th, 2018 • 11:23 am

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington is offering Woodworking for the Holidays class.

Return to the days when holiday gift giving was something you made with your own hands, and working with wood is just the ticket. Woodworking doesn’t have to be a large project, think of smaller items you can create with wood, including wooden ornaments for the Christmas tree or wooden toys for a niece or nephew or grandchild.

One of the most popular items built by one of our former woodworking participants was a “Lego Table” complete with an edging to keep those Legos from getting away from small hands. Your imagination is your only limit, and if your imagination is on hiatus the instructor has lots of resources to help you.  A plus for taking this class is that you get to work with a variety of tools and machines, ooh.

This class will be held on Tuesdays, October 9 to November 13 from 6-8:30 pm. The cost is $150.

To register for this class or others, contact the EWC Community Education office at 307.532.8213 or 307.532.8323 or stop by to visit them at 3200 West C Street in Torrington.
