EWC to hold Veterans Day Celebration

Eastern Wyoming College will honor veterans with a special celebration to be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 12:30 pm, in the Fine Arts Auditorium in Torrington, WY. The program is free and open to the public and will include the presentation of the colors by American Legion Post #5, music by the EWC Master Chorus, poetry read by members of the EWC Campus Ministries club and guest speaker, Ms. Sandra Reddish.

Sandra Reddish was raised on a small farm outside of Lincoln, NE.  Right after high school, she joined the U.S. Marine Corps. During her four year enlistment, Ms. Reddish was stationed at Okinawa, Japan and Camp Lejeune, NC. Her military occupation (job) in the Marines was that of a 4421 Legal Services Specialist and she served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for five years in Pittsburgh, PA and Omaha, NE.

Since her discharge from the Marines, she has worked at Boeing Commercial Airplane Groups in Wichita, KS, U.S. Army post Fort Riley, KS, and is now the Executive Director at the Legacy of the Plains Museum, in Gering, NE.

EWC would like to honor all veterans and encourage all veterans and their families to attend this short program.
