Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce special events and activities to celebrate the College’s 70th Anniversary, 1948-2018.

A community barbecue will be held on the Douglas Campus, 800 South Wind River Drive, on Friday, August 24, 11 am – 1 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

A 70th Anniversary Community Tailgate will be held on the main campus in Torrington on Tuesday, August 28th, from 4:30 – 6 pm. This will be held in the new CTEC parking lot located just north of the Verl Petsch, Jr. Activities Center. A free meal will be provided and everyone is then invited to attend the first home volleyball game of the season, free of charge. The Lancers will play McCook Community College at 6 pm.

The Veterinary Technology Club is sponsoring a free community-wide movie night on Wednesday, September 12th, 6-8:30 pm in the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium. They will be showing The Language of Dogs.

The College will have displays on campus throughout the year showing the growth and development of the campus over the past 70 years.

“EWC has been a part of Goshen and Converse counties for so many years and we are so fortunate to be part of these great communities,” shared President Dr. Lesley Travers. “Please join us at one of these special anniversary events or stop by either campus, anytime, and we would be happy to show you our great campuses.”
