The 2012 High Tunnel and Horticultural Extravaganza! will be eight days of hands-on learning, food and fun for anyone interested in horticulture and local food production. High Tunnels are solar heated, manually vented, plastic covered cold frames, tall enough to walk into that can be modified to fit the needs of the backyard gardener to the commercial producer. These structures protect your crops from highly variable weather and significantly increase the growing season, even in Wyoming. If you are a frustrated tomato grower in Wyoming this program is for you! The program will kick-off September 10th at the EWC North Campus in Torrington, WY.
Program highlights include: Monday September 10th – Friday September 14thwill be five days of hands-on educational workshops for the construction of three different styles of High Tunnels – bring your work clothes and be prepared to pitch-in and “learn while doing”.
