EWC students attend SkillsUSA National Competition

TORRINGTON, WY –
EWC students recently traveled to the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held in Kansas City, Missouri. The results were as follows:
Individual welding competition, sophomore Blake Parks, Douglas, WY received a Silver medal for second place
The EWC team of Tanner Tipsword, Sophomore, Cheyenne, WY, Gus Wilkinson, freshman, Alliance, NE and sophomore Trae Seebaum, Douglas, WY placed 4th in Welding Fabrication out of 18 teams.
Sophomore Ben Vetter, Torrington, WY won Gold in the Math SkillsUSA competition. Contestants demonstrate on a written test, skills required to solve mathematical problems commonly found in the skilled trades and professional and technical occupations.
These students had to win first at the state competition in order to qualify for the National competition.
SkillsUSA is the national organization for students in trade, industrial, technical and health occupations education.
