EWC students compete at SkillsUSA Welding Fabrication competition

Skills USAEastern Wyoming College students recently traveled to Gillette to compete in the SkillsUSA Welding Fabrication competition. EWC had two teams competing. Team one members were Amber Jerke, freshman, Cheyenne, WY, Kyle Nicolls, freshman, Windsor, CO, and Everett Summers, sophomore, Rock River, WY. Team two members were Barton Spracklin, sophomore, Cheyenne, WY, Aaron Wadhams, freshman, Mitchell, NE, and Ross Walker, sophomore, Hartville, WY.

Team one placed 1st in the competition and Amber Jerke received the high individual written test score. Team two placed 2nd.

The teams will travel to the state SkillsUSA competition that will be held in Casper. The 1st place team will have the opportunity to represent Wyoming and EWC at Kansas City in June.
