Eastern Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming Outreach are pleased to announce a “Meet the Authors” event. On Wednesday, June 22 from 10 am – 12 pm the college will host a number of members of the Western Writers of America (WWA) at the main campus in Torrington.
Writers and other WWA members will be available to meet the community from 10-11. Most will have promotional book copies and other materials to give away. This is free and open to the public.
From 11-12, a luncheon will be held featuring local speakers who will speak on the preservation of western and cultural heritage. Those interested in attending the luncheon and hearing the speakers should contact the EWC Community Education office to register and purchase a meal ticket. A limited number of meal tickets will be available.
There will also be a small auction for the WWA Homestead Foundation and a short performance by WWA Western Singers.
WWA is a national organization of professional writers, including fiction writers, non-fiction writers, historians, poets, musicians, and representatives from both the film and publishing industries.
