EWC volleyball and golf student athletes sign letters of intent

Eastern Wyoming College women’s volleyball players and golfer have signed letters of intent to further their athletic careers.

Carmen Carvajal, sophomore, Lugo, Spain signed a letter of intent to attend Chicago State University in Chicago, IL (NCAA Division I). “It was a step-by-step process.  I am excited and ready to go,” said Carvajal.

Adrian Torres-Ruiz has also signed a letter of intent to play golf at Chicago State University.  “Hard work pays off,” said Torres-Ruiz.

Shelby Welsh, sophomore, Ogallala, NE has signed a letter of intent to continue at Lakeland University, in Plymouth, WI. (NCAA Division III). “I chose Lakeland because I clicked with the coach, and I wanted an opportunity to experience a new part of the country,” said Welsh.

Lauren Hastings, sophomore, Cheyenne, WY, signed a letter of intent to attend Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK (NCAA Division II). “I chose OPSU because I liked the atmosphere on campus and on the volleyball team. They have my degree and I liked the coach and I am excited to help build the program and was a good fit for me,” said Hastings.
