EWC Women’s basketball student athletes receive Region IX honors

Four Eastern Wyoming College women’s basketball players earned post-season awards.

Emily Evans, All-Region IX South and All-Region IX Tournament Team	Anna Perez, All-Region IX South	Sarah Bersang, All-Region IX Defensive, and All-Region IX Tournament Team	Carna Prokic, All-Region IX Tournament Team

Emily Evans, sophomore, Cheyenne, WY was named All-Region IX South Team and All-Region IX Tournament Team.

Anna Perez, sophomore, Canet de Mar, Spain was named All-Region IX South Team.

Sarah Bersang, sophomore, Horsens, Germany, was named All-Region IX Defensive Team and All-Region IX Tournament Team.

Carna Prokic, sophomore, Subotica, Serbia was named to The All-Region IX Tournament Team.

“This is a well-deserved honor for each of these players,” said Coach Tom Andersen.  “They work very hard and I’m glad that effort was recognized.  I will miss them and wish them the best as they move on.”
