Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a vital step in getting help to pay for college.  By attending Financial Aid Frenzy on October 6, students and families can get free, expert help in filling out this important form online at fafsa.gov.

Financial Aid Frenzy will be held from 1-3 pm at the Eastern Wyoming College Douglas Campus located at 800 South Wind River Drive. College-bound students must complete the 2018-2019 FAFSA to qualify for federal financial aid, which includes Pell Grants, Supplemental Grants, and Work-Study, as well as student and parent loans, for the 2018-2019 academic year. In addition, some types of state aid, and many institutional scholarships and grants offered by colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools require FAFSA info to determine eligibility. FAFSA assistance is available to any student wanting to attend any college; all are welcome to attend this event.

Students 23 years of age or younger should attend the Financial Aid Frenzy with at least one parent and bring their parents’ and their own completed 2016 IRS tax returns, W-2 forms, and other 2016 income, asset and benefits information. Students 24 years of age or older may attend and bring their (and their spouses, if applicable) own completed 2016 tax returns W-2 forms, and other 2016 income, asset and benefits information.

All necessary materials, such as pens, pencils, calculators, and computers to complete the FAFSA will be provided.  This event is free and open to anyone seeking assistance with the FAFSA.
