Lancer golf team wins Lamar tournament

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer golf team won the Lamar Community College hosted tournament with a team score of 608. McCook Community College was second with a score of 613.
“Denton is a dual sport athlete for EWC and it is great to see him excel and contribute to both teams,” shared Coach Zach Smith. “I am proud of this team and their results.”
Leading the team with a second place finish was freshman Denton Shaw, Lusk, WY. He shot a 75 each round for a two-day total of 150. Other scores for the Lancers were as follows:
Logan Harrison, sophomore, Cheyenne, WY – 151, tied for 3rd
Ryder Velasquez, freshman, South Ogden, UT – 153
Adrian Torres, freshman, Madrid, Spain – 154
Eric Lovell, freshman, Greeley, CO – 161
The Lancers will compete in the McCook Community College hosted tournament on April 7-8 in McCook, NE.
