The inaugural event, Lancers of the Round Table, hosted by the Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Booster Club was deemed a huge success.
“This is the first time we have held an event of this scale to raise funds for EWC athletics and it could not have gone any better,” shared EWC Lancer Booster Club president Wes Anderson. “I really want to thank the community for coming together to make the event such a success.”
There were roughly 265 individuals in attendance. Attendees enjoyed activities such as a high/low card game, and wheel of fortune. The event also included several silent auction items and live auction items which had been generously donated.
“For a first time event, this was absolutely fabulous! Wes Anderson, Lex Madden and the entire Booster Club knocked this event out of the park,” exclaimed Dr. Lesley Travers, EWC President. “It was very well attended and supported by the Goshen County community.”
Approximately $33,000 (gross) funds were raised which will be used to assist with athletic scholarships, textbooks for athletes and to fund other requests as necessary for the athletic department.
“I would like to thank the following EWC Lancer Club members: Logan Schlinz, Jaclyn Miller, Lori Moore, Rich Sanchez, John Hansen, Rod and Dena Anderson, Shane Viktorin, and Lex Madden. These board members were instrumental in this event, and without their hard work, it would not have been possible,” added Anderson.
