“It’s great to see Riley get his first win of his college career. I look forward to watching him the rest of the fall season,” shared Coach Jake Clark. “The women are off to a great start. They are a consistent team and that is what works in this sport.”
Sophomore Stephanie Newman, Melstone, MT, finished the weekend in fifth place in the barrel racing with a total time of 36.44 seconds in two rounds.
In the breakway roping, freshman Shelby Winchell, Scottsbluff, NE, was fourth. She roped both of her calves in a total time of 9.1 seconds.
At the first college rodeo of the fall season, sophomore and CNFR qualifier Wyatt Clark was injured. “Wyatt dislocated his clavicle from his sternum and is possibly looking at surgery. He may red-shirt this year,” added Clark.

The EWC Lancer rodeo team will travel to Sheridan, WY to compete at the Sheridan College rodeo this weekend.
