Sherbeyn tenders resignation to EWC

Eastern Wyoming College has announced that Julie Sherbeyn, head volleyball coach and retention coordinator has submitted her letter of resignation, effective May 31, 2019.

Sherbeyn has coached the Lady Lancers since 2014. Her record with the team was 52-126.

EWC President Dr. Lesley Travers shared the following, “Julie has been an outstanding employee and coach; EWC will miss her energy and passion for our students. She worked very well with all of our student athletes and provided some real strength on our retention team. She is a class act and I wish the very best for her.”

“I’ve really enjoyed being a part of the Lancer family and will consider myself a Lancer for life but I’ve decided now is a good time to pursue other interests,” shared Coach Sherbeyn. “At this time, I am doing what I feel is best for me, my family, and for the future of EWC Volleyball.”

EWC will soon begin the process of hiring a new coach so that individual will be in a position to recruit next year’s team.
