EWC to hold Bow Hunter Education Course

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College has announced that it will hold a Bow Hunter Education Course on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Torrington,  Tebbet 131, 8 am to 5 pm and the cost is $15.  Jeff Capron is the instructor for the course.

Unlike hunting with firearms, bow hunting in Wyoming does not require a safety course.  However, if you are planning to hunt with your bow in Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, or Idaho, depending on age and if you’ve ever been licensed in that particular state, you may be required to complete a bow hunter education course.  The International Bow Hunter Education Program covers topics such as hunter ethics, shot placement, animal anatomy and tracking techniques.  After completion, attendees will be issued a bow hunter education card that certifies them and that is recognized by all states and Canadian Provinces.
