EWC to host annual Job Expo
Eastern Wyoming College will once again host a Job Expo on Wednesday, February 13th in Torrington, Wyoming. This year’s event has been re-designed to include two 45 minute employer led panel discussions. The panel participants in each session will be answering audience questions and discussing topics such as:
- Company culture
- Ideal characteristics of a successful employee
- Career pathways in their company or industry
The panel discussions will start at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and all job seekers, EWC students and area high school students are invited to attend these discussions.
EWC is also partnering with Goshen County Economic Development for a presentation for employers and supervisors on the Millennial and Generation Z workforce. Kate Debow will be presenting the information from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Job Expo will begin at 2:00 pm in the Verl Petsch Jr Activities Center Gymnasium at the College, and will conclude at 7 pm. Attendees should come prepared with a resume and be prepared for an interview.
Currently registered participants include Adams Land and Cattle; LLC; Animal Clinic of Rapid City; Dillard’s Salon; Goshen County Weed and Pest; Great Clips, KNEB; Nebraska Animal Clinic, Panhandle Coop; Pennington County Sheriff’s Office; Sports Clips Haircuts; US Air Force Recruiting, Cheyenne, WY; WESTCO; Western Nebraska Veterans Home; Wyoming Air National Guard; and Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution, with more companies registering every day.
