Policies and Administrative Regulations

The Eastern Wyoming Board of Trustees views policy development as a key responsibility. The Board is empowered to adopt policies mandated or permitted by law, related to accreditation standards, or deemed essential for the College’s effective and efficient operation. Board policies reflect the Board’s intentions on specific issues within its authority.

Administrative Regulations detail how Board policies are to be implemented and are managed by the College President. The Board retains the authority to mandate revisions to Administrative Regulations if they are found to be inconsistent with the Board’s policies.

Any codified policy can be proposed, adopted, amended, or repealed at any Board meeting by a majority vote of the members present. Policy changes will be presented at two consecutive meetings: the First reading and the Final reading with a recommendation for action. Typically, no decision will be made on a policy at its initial presentation to the Board.
